Chosen by God!

We are to accept the reality that there are some questions that will never be answered until we are in God’s presence in eternity. There are many unanswerable questions that we may never have definitive answers for in this life. We live in a sin based world. As a result we live the consequences of sin. Thankfully God has given us the gift of salvation which guarantees eternity with Him. However, it does not guarantee an easy or a life without challenges.

God’s Word tell us:

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” (John 16:33 AMPC)

We are going to have tribulation, and trials, and distress and frustration in this life. But we also have His promise that we can walk through these things in His peace because He has overcome the world – deprived it of power to harm us. We must also remember:

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not My ways.” This is the Lord’s declaration. “For as heaven is higher than earth, so My ways are higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. “ (Isaiah 66:8-9 HCSB)

We cannot see things the way God sees them. As a result we will not understand some of the why’s in life but we can trust our lives to God. Because no matter what we face, we have this promise:

“We are assured and know that God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.” (Romans 8:28 AMCP)
