Chosen by God!
“Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.” (I Peter 5:7 AMPC)
God has shown us in so many ways that He wants to be in the details of our lives. There’s nothing too small or too big for Him to handle. We can share anything and everything with Him. We don’t bore Him, get on His nerves, or cause Him to give up on us. He knows us and He knows our weaknesses, that’s why He sent Jesus and Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit, to redeem us, lead us, and guide us.
Because Jesus walked on earth in human form He clearly understands our nature and temptation. Jesus experienced life on earth victoriously yet He still faced the same challenges we do. He was hungry, (cursed the fig tree when it had no fruit) He needed comfort and support (Gethsemane), His friends left Him and denied Him (the disciples scatter, Peter denied Him), He was betrayed by someone in His inner circle (Judas), He was plotted against (Pharisees and Sadducees) and so much more. So yes, He understands what we face and how we feel. Because He successfully faced the same challenges without sinning He can show us how to face them too.
We can share our hearts in open and honest communication with Him. We don’t have to edit what we’re feeling. He already knows. Just because we don’t speak the words doesn’t mean we’ve kept it away from Him. It’s only when we give it to Him that He can cover it and heal us.
“For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.” (Hebrews 4:15 AMPC)
