Give it to God - He Can Handle It

Chosen by God!

“Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail).” (Psalm 55:22 AMPC)

Cast, let it go, throw it away. Whatever is burdening you can be cast away, given to God. You don’t have to carry it. You can give it to God. Release the weight of it and God will sustain you through the challenges, while providing solutions. He will not allow the righteous to be moved.

The weight of burdens can cause us to go off course, move us in the wrong direction. When you give the burden to God He will carry it because it’s not a burden to Him. When He carry’s it we can stay on course, moving in the right direction.

I do not have to carry any burden or face any challenge alone. Yesterday I literally did that – I cast my burden on God. I couldn’t carry it and realized I didn’t have to carry it. What peace I’ve walked in not having to wonder how this situation would be resolved. Because I gave it to God my burden became His to resolve. In the casting trust is needed. I have to believe that God loves me, which He does, (“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you.” Jeremiah 31:3b AMPC). I have to believe that this will work out for my good, which it will. (“We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.” Romans 8:28 AMPC)

I have to wonder why I didn’t take advantage of this casting privilege more fully and much sooner. To be free of the weight of the burden is priceless. To know that God can, and He will, handle the burden is priceless.

God’s Word covers every situation I could ever face and He promises that if I cast my burden, releasing the weight of it on Him, He will sustain me. Reality check – I cannot sustain myself no matter how hard I try. I fall short because I was created to be sustained by Him. My resources are limited, His are not. There is security in being sustained by God. I will not be moved, made to slip, fall or fail. I can’t fail because God is on my side. This is some powerful stuff right here.

Faith Confession:

Lord thank You that I do not have to carry the weight of life’s burdens and challenges. You created me to depend on You so I have given You this burden and I trust You to sustain me. Thank You that when I trust You I can walk in the assurance that this will work out for my good. I can also walk in Your peace which surpasses all understanding. Thank You that I don’t have to try and figure anything out and that You are already working it out for my good and Your glory.

Lord, thank You that through the blood of Jesus Christ You see me as righteous and You have promised that You will not allow the consistently righteous to be moved, made to slip, fall, or fail. I believe Your Word and I rejoice in advance for the resolution You will provide. I give You glory for I know only You can work this out.
