Chosen by God!
“I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.” (Psalm32:8 AMPC)
When we choose to walk in the calling and anointing of God then we’ve also chosen to submit to His instruction, teaching and counsel. When God calls us He will counsel us. The key is to make sure we take time in His Presence and in His Word to hear His voice.
Sometimes a step seems logical and we may find ourselves taking it but remember:
“There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death.” (Proverbs 14:12 AMPC)
Just because the step seems right it might not be the right step to take, at this time. We must also remember:
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 AMPC)
This is why we must seek God’s direction for our lives and the purpose we are to walk in. He’s the one that placed the purpose in us and He is the only one that can birth it out of us. We can’t rely on our own devices. We must seek God’s heart in every matter.
Faith Confession:
Lord, I want You to instruct and teach me in the way I should go. I don’t want to choose the path. I want You to show me the path. Counsel me Abba Father. Your way is truth. Keep Your eyes on me so I don’t stray from the path You want me to walk in. Make it clear. Mark the path so I don’t miss it.
Lord, I don’t want to manipulate anyone. I don’t want to look to people to get me where You are taking me. I want to depend totally on You.
I will not be moved by what others are saying about me or doing to me. My focus is on You. No one can stop what You are doing in my life. I can be gracious because You will do what is right and what You have promised.
A Word of Encouragement:
When God calls us we can expect opposition but we can’t allow that opposition to cause us to give up. We must also remember that what He calls us to do He equips us to do – so it doesn’t depend on us. It really depends on Him. We are responsible for obedience and He is responsible for the results. And finally, remember it will come to pass but only in His timing. We have to trust the timing of God. He’s not going to release the fulfillment of purpose until we can walk in it with integrity. So while it might seem like it is taking forever know that if He said it, He will do it.
