Making God's Word Personal
Updated: Jan 7, 2020
Chosen by God!
When we make God's Word personal it becomes easier to understand and apply to our lives. It can be as simple as inserting your name in the Scripture, as if God were talking directly to you, and only you. Or you can take a passage of Scripture and personalize it. Today, I've done that with Psalm 147. I encourage you to read the Psalm as written, then read what I wrote. This is the way the Psalm spoke to me. I also encourage and challenge you to choose a Scripture and do the same thing. I'd love to see what you have written.
My Personal Psalm 147
To everyone reading this:
It is a good thing for us to sing praises to our God. Let’s praise our Awesome God!
He loves us with an unconditional love. His mercies are new every morning.
He rebuilds making us into His image and likeness. He gives us His character teaching us to be more like Him as we spend time in His Presence.
He heals the brokenhearted and bandages our wounds, making us new again.
Our Lord is great and greatly to be praised.
His strength is limitless and available to us. We don’t have to do this on our own! God walks with us every step of the way.
When we fall He is right there to help us get back on our feet even better than before. Let’s praise Him!
Sing to God a new song, a song of thanksgiving, and praise, a song that tells the world about the greatness of our God, our loving, steadfast Father.
Continue to have fear of the Lord, honoring Him and He will give us His attention. It brings Him immediately on the scene. We can depend on His strength in every circumstance.
I invite you all to come and worship God with me.
He made our city secure.
He blesses us.
He gives us peace.
He keeps every one of His promises.
He sees us as special.
Let us ever and always sing praises to His Name.
Be Encouraged! ❤
