Know Your Inheritance in Christ! Day 9 - "The Cost of Our Inheritance - Jesus Paid It All!&quot

Chosen by God!

Today we will conclude our series. We have finished reading the “will!” We’ve been freely given so much from our Abba, Father. Let’s give back to Him by walking boldly in the gifts we have been given. I encourage you to use your inheritance wisely.

On Day 1 our point was, “As a Child of God, You Have an Inheritance.” On Days 2 – 5 our point was, “Know the Gifts You Have Access To.” We looked at multiple gifts during those days. Know that these were just a sampling and God’s Word has many more gifts available to us as believers. I encourage you to search them out and walk in them. Day 6 our point was “Chosen by God!” Day 7 our point was, “We Serve A Triune God and Each Part of the Trinity Has Given us Gifts.” Day 8 our point was, “Walk Boldly in Who We Are.” Today we will we will look at:

#9 – The Cost of Our Inheritance – Jesus Paid it All!

By being led by the Holy Spirit, not people or our emotions, we will fulfill the plan and purpose that God created us for.

God has deposited powerful gifts in us and given us access to them in His Word. As His sons and daughters we have the right to appropriate and use each one of these gifts.

Let’s give Jesus the best gift possible by living in the fullness of what His shed blood purchased for us, not every now and then, but for the rest of our lives.

While this gift from God is free to us, it did cost Him something.

“Abba Father, how did you do it? How did you watch Your Son die when you had the power to save Him?”

“Then this thought came:”

“I know You were thinking about us, but it still had to be difficult to watch Him suffer. Our initial disobedience caused You to have Your Son die for us. Oh what a love!!!”

“Then I got to thinking about His love and remembered that love, real love – sacrificial love, only happens when we're connected to the Holy Spirit.”

The trip that Jesus took to Calvary was planned before the very foundations of the world. God always had a plan to redeem us. When Jesus came to earth, everything He did, everything He said, was done with Calvary on His mind. “

“Even knowing what He would suffer, by taking on the sins of the world, Jesus still chose to suffer the penalty of our sin for us. He had us – you and I – on His mind as He prepared for Calvary. He had doing the will and purpose of His Father on His mind as He prepared for Calvary. He had defeating sin and death on His mind as He prepared for Calvary. He had resurrection on His mind as He prepared for Calvary. He had victory on His mind as He prepared for Calvary.” (From: "The Holy Week Devotional" by Leisa Wilkins - available at Amazon.com)

God provided gifts through Jesus.

All we have to do is walk in them through faith.

In light of all of this, how will you use your inheritance?

I leave you to ponder this:

Galatians 6:4-5 MSG: “Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.”

Your inheritance is not just for you but for the good of others. Now that you know you have this inheritance, who are you going to share them with?

Be Encouraged! ❤
