Chosen by God!

"I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. “When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen. “When you come looking for me, you’ll find me. “Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed.” God’s Decree.” (Jeremiah 29:11-14 MSG)

In these verses we learn that God has a plan for our lives. We are not here happenstance. We all love knowing He has a plan, a purpose, for our lives. However, there is a part we play in walking in His plan and purpose for our lives. We must cooperate with God in order to fulfill His plan and purpose. It just doesn’t happen automatically.

Thankfully, He also tells us how to walk in that plan:

1. Call on Him – in other words talk to Him, ask Him what you should be doing and how to do it.

2. Pray – Get your instructions from Him. He’s a God of details so leave nothing to chance.

3. Listen – He promises to listen to us so we must listen to Him and obey Him.

4. Look for Him – seek Him as if it’s your vital necessity, and it is! Relationship with God is key to successfully walking in His plan and purpose for your life.

When we do all of these things He promises we will find Him and we will not be disappointed.

Just knowing we were purposely on His mind and in His heart is powerful. We were created with purpose, for purpose, on purpose. So are you walking in His purpose for your life?
