Choose Forgiveness Over Offense
Chosen by God!
“Take this most seriously: A yes on earth is yes in heaven; a no on earth is no in heaven. What you say to one another is eternal. I mean this. When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action. And when two or three of you are together because of me, you can be sure that I’ll be there.” (Matthew 18:18-20 MSG)
There is so much power in agreement! This is why the enemy wants to keep us in offense. He doesn't want us to touch and agree. He recognizes the power even if we don't. No offense or need to be right is worth weakening your prayer power! Forgive and walk in power!
“In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do. You can't get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God's part.” (Matthew 6:14-15 MSG)
Don’t break the connection of intimacy with God, walking in His blessings, hearing His voice through unforgiveness. Choose forgiveness, even if the other person is in the wrong or doesn’t accept your apology. Why? You’ve been obedient to God, and He will honor that. Make it right with your brother/sister first, then you can come boldly to the throne and receive God’s grace, mercy, and forgiveness. It’s not easy, but it is required by God. Be assured that what God requires us to do He also equips us to do.
Remember, Jesus forgave. If He can forgive after being beaten, crowned with thorns, ridiculed, and crucified so can we. He is our example. We must love through whatever is being done to us.
