Pray for One Another

Chosen by God!

“And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” (Ephesians 4:30-32 NLT)

It's hard to curse someone through words and actions that you're praying for. And our loving Abba Father admonishes us to pray for one another, to not let strife, bitterness, envy, rage, anger, harsh words and slander, get into our relationships. If we would just walk in love none of these things would be issues. It's especially important for those who are in the family of God to act more like Him and less like the world. We have to be an example of what God's love has done through us and can do for others. We give them hope while pointing them to Jesus. Praise the Lord!

“The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” (James 5:16b AMPC)

Let’s pray this prayer for others and ourselves today: “So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.” (Colossians 1:9-12 NLT)

Prayer transforms lives and brings us closer to the heart of God! How can I pray for you today?
