Chosen by God!
“And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.” (Colossians 3:2 AMPC)
Abba Father, how much more will You take? I imagine the heartbreak of our loving Father as He looks at His creation seeing the destruction, sin, and mistreatment that His children inflict on each other. My heart breaks. He's given us free will, the right to make choices, yet He's shown us the way but many continue to ignore His truth.
"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;" (Deuteronomy 30:19 NKJV)
My choice is Him! I choose quality time in His Presence and in His Word. I choose relationship, fellowship, and intimacy with my loving heavenly Daddy!
I don't want to break God's heart. This verse is my heart's desire:
"So, since Christ suffered in the flesh for us, for you, arm yourselves with the same thought and purpose [patiently to suffer rather than fail to please God]. For whoever has suffered in the flesh [having the mind of Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [has stopped pleasing himself and the world, and pleases God], So that he can no longer spend the rest of his natural life living by [his] human appetites and desires, but [he lives] for what God wills." (I Peter 4:1-2 AMPC)
