Chosen by God!

"Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God." (John 12:42-43 NKJV)

And these verses depict many believer today. Let's examine ourselves. Ask the Lord to show us what we are afraid of being put out of or having to give up in order to boldly serve Him? Let's also ask Him to show us if we are more concerned with, seeking, the praise/approval of men or are we content with the fact that God approves and praises us because of Jesus?

Let's get to the point, if not already there, that this will be our response when the choice is between God, His will or something, or someone else.

But Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than any human authority." (Acts 5:29 AMPC)

We already have God's approval as believers. We don't have to work for it. We honor Him when we walk in that approval. There is nothing people can give you that supersedes His love for, and approval of, us!

"Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant." (Galatians 1:10 NLT)

Remember this always:

"For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)

No one else can determine your value so don't allow anyone to speak to you, or about you, in a way that negates who God says you are! Believe God over people every time!
