Chosen by God!

“After the wise men were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up! Flee to Egypt with the child and his mother,” the angel said. “Stay there until I tell you to return, because Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.” That night Joseph left for Egypt with the child and Mary, his mother, and they stayed there until Herod’s death. This fulfilled what the Lord had spoken through the prophet: “I called my Son out of Egypt.” (Matthew 2:13-15 NLT)

Jesus had to leave His birthplace to preserve His destiny, His purpose, and His safety. Sometimes the Lord will remove us from the familiar for safety reasons, to preserve our destiny, our purpose, and our lives. Then He will call us out to walk in our purpose.

Faith Confession:

O, Lord, thank You for reminding me that the changes You allow in my life aren’t to hurt me but to keep me safe, to secure my destiny and purpose, while maturing me for more excellent service. Thank You for looking over me. I place my trust in You all the days of my life.

“And they who know Your name [who have experience and acquaintance with Your mercy] will lean on and confidently put their trust in You, for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek (inquire of and for) You [on the authority of God’s Word and the right of their necessity].” (Psalm 9:10 AMPC)
