Pearls of Wisdom - Are You Ready?

Chosen by God!

As believers, we are to prepare ourselves and all people for the glorious second coming of Jesus Christ. Because of the Lord’s love for us He has extended His patience toward us giving us time to repent and accept His gift of salvation. Jesus is coming back and we, as believers, should seize every opportunity to tell others about Him. Although the promise of Jesus’ return was made over two thousand years ago and has not materialized yet does not mean it is not going to happen.

“Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape you, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.” (II Peter 3:8-9 AMPC)

God does not look at time as we do and for this very reason we must be ready for the return of Jesus Christ.

“And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight. And remember, our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved. This is what our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you with the wisdom God gave him.” (II Peter 3:14-15 AMPC)

The “delay” has everything to do with God’s love for us and His desire that none should perish and that all would have an opportunity for salvation. We cannot allow a perceived “delay” cause us to believe Jesus is not coming back. Instead we must be intentional in using this time to live the Great Commission telling others about Jesus and making disciples of all nations. We can do this when we are at peace with Him through salvation.

“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.” (John 3:16 AMPC)

If you don’t know Jesus and would like to know about His everlasting and unconditional love for you, and how to accept His gift of salvation, everlasting life, please inbox, text me, call me, or comment. I would love to introduce you to Him so you can walk in true freedom through Him.
