Chosen by God!

“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” (II Chronicles 20:12b AMPC)

I know a lot of times, I do think I know what to do and it hasn’t been the right thing. I’ve learned through wrong, or poor choices that my abilities, knowledge, and insight isn’t always enough.

“Your salvation requires you to turn back to me and stop your silly efforts to save yourselves. Your strength will come from settling down in complete dependence on me. Your strength will come from settling down in complete dependence on me—The very thing you’ve been unwilling to do.” (Isaiah 30:15 MSG)

Settling down in complete dependence on God, and surrender to God, is the core of our strength. It’s in Him, not us.

Surrender – to yield to the power of another; to resign in favor of (Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary)

I’m thankful that I can go to my Abba Daddy and seek His wisdom, direction, and power. While the world applauds independence God wants us dependent – on Him alone. He wants to give us direction so He can unfold His plan for our lives.

No matter how much I tried will power did nothing and it changed nothing. My way didn't work. If I could do it myself, then I wouldn't need a Savior. I can't save myself or change myself. I need Jesus. I have learned that surrender to Him in every area of my life is the only way that works.

We must come to this:

“Master, to whom would we go? You have the words of real life, eternal life. We’ve already committed ourselves, confident that you are the Holy One of God.” (John 6:68 MSG)

You want sustainable results? Do it God's way and not your way.

Faith Confession:

Yes, Abba Father, I am willing to surrender all to You. Show me any area I have not completely yielded to You. No more distractions. Like Mary I Desire the Needful thing – YOU – more than anything else. Show me how to consistently make You my priority daily.

Full disclosure - sometimes I do pick it back up! As my friend and Titus mom, Mrs Katharyn would say, I'm a recovering professional, what can I say?
