Seek Godly Counsel

Chosen by God!

As we consider goals for 2018 let’s remember to include how we process life’s challenges. We cannot go to just anyone for insight and direction. Who we are connected to can either catapult us into our destiny or derail us. Godly connections are critical.

"Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers)." (Psalm 1:1-2 AMPC)

When you're facing life's challenges and everything is in turmoil, take a moment and seek another spiritually mature believer to help you get perspective, God's perspective.

"Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?" (II Corinthians 6:14 NLT)

Think seriously about who you seek advice from. Remember, the world does not have God's perspective, so don't seek their advice.

Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.” (I Corinthians 15:33 NKJV)

Don't make life altering decisions during temporary challenges. This is why we should not isolate ourselves in times of stressful situations. Our vision is distorted and we can make life altering decisions based on wrong, unclear, information!

Get connected! Stay connected! Don't become an easy target for the enemy to pick off.

Be Encouraged! ❤
