Chosen by God!

“These armed men—about 40,000 strong—were ready for battle, and the Lord was with them as they crossed over to the plains of Jericho.” (Joshua 4:13 NLT)

“Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].” (Ephesians 6:13 AMPC)

He said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” (II Chronicles 20:15 NLT)

These Scriptures are encouraging and a great reminder as we face the unknown, challenges, assignments, and so much more that God is with us. God goes with us. While we may not always recognize it we are ready for battle because the armor of God is available to us. God equips us and at times He even fights for us! So take heart.

Don’t be afraid or discouraged by whatever you face because God is with you!

If you want to be ready for battle study Ephesians 6:10-18. You will be introduced to, or reacquainted with, the armor of God – what it is and how to use it. Everything we need is in God’s Word. We just have to spend the time in His Word to know what belongs to us and then use it! Don’t become complacent or think you don’t need all of it. The Word tells us clearly:

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6a AMPC)

What we don’t know about the Word can kill us!
