A Surrendered Life

Chosen by God,

Then the Lord said to Samuel, “I am sorry that I ever made Saul king, for he has not been loyal to me and has refused to obey my command.” Samuel was so deeply moved when he heard this that he cried out to the Lord all night." (I Samuel 15:10-111 NLT)

I don't want the Lord to ever be sorry about anything He has called me to do because I was disobedient.

My heart’s desire is that I will be able to say these words that Jesus spoke before going to Calvary, at the end of my life:

"I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do." (John 17:4 NLT)

"SO, SINCE Christ suffered in the flesh for us, for you, arm yourselves with the same thought and purpose [patiently to suffer rather than fail to please God]. For whoever has suffered in the flesh [having the mind of Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [has stopped pleasing himself and the world, and pleases God], so that he can no longer spend the rest of his natural life living by [his] human appetites and desires, but [he lives] for what God wills." (I Peter 4:1-2 AMPC)

Faith Confession:

Lord, let me patiently suffer rather than fail to please You. I want to be done with intentional sin, and stop pleasing myself and the world. My focus is on pleasing You, Abba Father. Lord, I don't want to break Your heart. That's why quality time in Your Presence and in Your Word is a priority for me! Like David, I have hidden Your Word in my heart so I will not sin against you.

“I’ve banked your promises in the vault of my heart so I won’t sin myself bankrupt.” (Psalm 119:11 MSG)
