Chosen by God!

Today is the second day of my birthday month, my New Year. I'm moving into the second year of my new decade.

My focus today is on thanksgiving.

I'm looking at the things I've experienced, good and bad, that made me who I am today and giving thanks. I'm remembering the things I thought I just couldn't stand for one more minute and seeing that I did in fact stand them, for many more minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and yes, even years. Those things shaped my character and created my boundaries. They weren't pleasant but they were necessary. Some of those things continue to shape my character and boundaries.

Reflection Nugget - A diamond doesn't become a diamond without a great amount of pressure. A diamond doesn't become valuable until it withstands the pressure, gets cleaned up, and is cut in the jeweler's hands.

Our value is determined at conception by God, never by man. We don't look like much to start with but inside each one of us is a diamond in the rough, that will shine when cleaned up, shaped, and molded by the Master's continued touch.

Let God put you on display. He knows when you're ready.
