Chosen by God!

Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” (John 8:10-11 NLT)

It’s amazing that in their eagerness to condemn, and possibly make themselves feel better, people expose the sins of others instead of covering them. It was the teachers of the religious law, the scribes, and Pharisees, that brought this woman before Jesus. Their agenda was to trick Jesus, which they could not do. However, there are powerful lessons in this story.

When you speak the truth there will always be those opposed to the truth who will try to trip you up. We can take our example from Jesus and continue in truth, not just in words but in our actions. Interestingly truth has its own redemption and peace, even in conflict.
