Chosen by God!

So Ruth gathered barley there all day, and when she beat out the grain that evening, it filled an entire basket.” (Ruth 2:17 NLT)

Ruth is walking in favor as Boaz has instructed his workers to purposely leave grain for her. She was also allowed to gather grain by the sheaves. She ended up with more grain than usual because of Boaz’s instructions. Additionally Boaz provided food for her.

Again we see faithfulness paying off with favor from God. Ruth is able to provide for herself and Naomi. We also see where Boaz made her labor even easier. It’s wondrous to see the provision of God in action. This is a reminder to us about the power of obedience and the benefits of hard work. God will always make a way when we trust Him.

FAITH CONFESSION:

Lord, thank You for Your provision in all circumstances. Help me to remember that You give us this day, our daily bread. Sometimes I can be consumed with the future. Thank You for reminding me that Your provision is available to me daily. In serving You I lack no good thing. Thank You for meeting every need. It may not look the way I expect but You have met, and will continue to meet my needs.
