Chosen by God!

“Now do as I tell you—take a bath and put on perfume and dress in your nicest clothes. Then go to the threshing floor, but don’t let Boaz see you until he has finished eating and drinking. Be sure to notice where he lies down; then go and uncover his feet and lie down there. He will tell you what to do. “I will do everything you say,” Ruth replied. ” (Ruth 3:3-5 NLT)

Naomi is preparing Ruth for a permanent home according to the traditions of her people. She knows Boaz is part of her family and has seen firsthand that he has been good and kind to Ruth. She gives Ruth instructions on what her next steps should be.

We must learn to recognize and appreciate the Naomi’s in our lives, women that have given us godly counsel and wisdom. While we don’t know everything we can rest assured that God had given us resources in life to help us along the way. Do you know who your Naomi is and are you listening to her godly counsel and wisdom? If so, take a moment and thank her, or them. If not, ask God to show you who your Naomi is and to provide the opportunity to meet her. Also ask Him to give you a willing heart to be guided by their godly counsel and wisdom.

PRAYER:

Lord, thank You for the Naomi’s in my life that have given me wisdom and insight on handling things. Thank You for loving me so much that You provided for me in this way. Help me in turn to be a source of godly wisdom and insight to other women You may send my way. Help me to seek Your heart about my relationships so they can be a source of peace to all involved and bring You glory. In Jesus Name. Amen.
