Chosen by God!

Then the sailors said to one another, “Let’s get to the bottom of this. Let’s draw straws to identify the culprit on this ship who’s responsible for this disaster.” So they drew straws. Jonah got the short straw. Then they grilled him: “Confess. Why this disaster? What is your work? Where do you come from? What country? What family?” (Jonah 1:7-8 MSG)

Is your present struggle the result of something you did, or because of someone you’re connected to? (Think Jonah!)

The time to ask questions is before you connect with someone, not after! Their trial can become your trial through connection!

“Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit.” (John 15:2 AMPC)

If God prunes, shouldn’t we?

It might be time to throw some people overboard, let them go, so you can walk in your purpose. Don’t be sidetracked by people God never meant for you to be connected too! Oh, one more thing, you can’t run from God so if you are the Jonah in someone’s life get out! Finish your assignment instead of sabotaging someone else’s!

“They said to him, “What are we going to do with you—to get rid of this storm?” By this time the sea was wild, totally out of control. Jonah said, “Throw me overboard, into the sea. Then the storm will stop. It’s all my fault. I’m the cause of the storm. Get rid of me and you’ll get rid of the storm.” (Jonah 1:11-12 MSG)
