Chosen by God!

A word of encouragement to those who may want to give up on someone:

“Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus.” (Romans 15:5 NKJV)

If I saw helping the underdog that way, or determining their not going to use what I'm trying to teach them, then there are some people I would have given up on a long time ago.

Truthfully, we don't always know how the seed we sow into the lives of others is being taken. If God looked at us this way then we'd be lost. Thankfully He forgives, when we ask for it. He doesn't condemn us. He grants us new mercies every day.

I think of the many times I've fallen, gotten it wrong, and my Abba Father was right there to pick me up, dust me off, and give me a new start! I'm thankful He didn't write me off!

It took me a while to get to this as, I too, get frustrated when people aren't moving the way I think or doing it the way I think. Thankfully, the Lord has moved me to this place of not giving up on people, or writing them off. He told me once, I'm at work, just do your part.

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.” (I Corinthians 3:6 NKJV)

If Paul and Apollos had given up there would have been no increase! We just don't know how God is working in the lives and hearts of others.
