These are just some of the things that clog us up and cause us to stumble in our walk with the Lord and with our relationships others. The Word is clear on these things. When we choose to allow unforgiveness, strongholds, unconfessed sin(s), lack of faith, and wrong thoughts to dominate our lives we can become spiritually clogged up and unproductive. That means the blessings of God cannot flow to us or through us, our prayers are hindered, our love walk is impacted, fear can overtake us, and so much more.
We must make sure our hearts are right before the Lord and one another at all times.
“Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins.” (Psalm 139:1-4 TPT)
Only our Abba Father can unstop the clogged areas in our hearts and in our lives. Only He can see the things we've hidden from others and sometimes even from ourselves. He knows the things we just don't want to deal with. Because He loves us He will not leave us in this stopped up condition!
He will gently guide us to the point that this becomes our heart’s desire, our earnest prayer:
"God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares. See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on, and lead me back to your glorious, everlasting ways—the path that brings me back to you." (Psalm 139:23-24 TPT)
