Chosen by God!
“Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]” (John 14:27 AMPC)
When you follow Jesus, you have been forewarned that you will have trials, tribulations, distress, and frustrations in this life. So, don’t be surprised when these things happen.
"I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]" (John 16:33 AMPC)
You have also been promised perfect peace, in the midst of all of these challenges when you are in Him. Why? How? Because Jesus took away its power to harm you and He has conquered it for you. When you believe this it will give you His perfect peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding. That's relationship!
“Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7 NLT)
