Chosen by God!

“So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life.” (Proverbs 4:23 TPT)

Sometimes you have to limit who you interact with. Forgiveness doesn't mean everything goes back to the way it was. It also doesn't mean they are allowed to sit at the table of your heart. Sometimes, letting go of a relationship is about guarding your heart and moving on to what God has next. Everyone isn't in your life for the entire journey. Their part may just be over. Accept it and move on. Think Lot and Abraham. Abraham didn't get the promise until he and Lot went in different directions.

After Lot had gone, the Lord said to Abram, “Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east and west. I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession.” (Genesis 13:14-15 NLT)

The wrong person, people, can delay what God has for you.

I think, we sometimes stay places longer than we should and allow people access longer than they should. Learn the gift of goodbye. It's not a bad thing. Seasons change naturally and spiritually too. It's important to be in your right season with the right people. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you your season and walk boldly, and unapologetically, in it. Even if everyone abandons you, God won't.

“To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1 AMPC)
