Marginalizing Women in the Church - Updated

Chosen by God!

In light of attacks on women in ministry I'm sharing this again and I will keep sharing it until men in ministry get it. We are NOT the enemy! However, the enemy has distracted us and has us fighting one another instead of him. Stop discounting the call on my life because I'm a woman. If you have a problem with my call, or any woman's call, talk to Jesus! Your issue isn't with me, it's with Him! How you treat me, or any woman in ministry, is a reflection of your relationship with God. Yes, I said it! His command to love is just that, a command - not a suggestion!

I will not be discounted or apologize for who God has called me to be!

Until we walk in unity, accepting one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, co-laborers together for Christ, instead of marginalizing an entire portion of the Body of Christ, we will never greatly impact the world for Christ! Love and unity should always be our goal. Anything less dilutes the message of Christ. Isn’t it time that we focus on a dying world, giving them the hope of Christ, instead of focusing on who delivers the message?

It’s easy for men to say, “Titles aren’t important,” because no one is challenging their title, their calling or whether they should teach or preach. It is women who are being challenged in this way and they are being challenged by the very men that say, “Titles aren’t important.” Women aren’t challenging titles, men are. It’s sad that women face the same discrimination in the church that we face in the world. The church should be a place of peace, and sadly for women it’s just another battleground.

The Word clears up the women issue, and every other issue:

“And we no longer see each other in our former state—Jew or non-Jew, rich or poor, male or female—because we’re all one through our union with Jesus Christ with no distinction between us.” (Galatians 3:28 TPT)

A drowning person, a dying person, doesn’t care who saves him, man or woman, they just want to be saved! They just want to live. And isn’t this what the message of Christ is about – life, eternal life? Souls are at stake and we’re focused on who delivers the message. The enemy has us fighting each other instead of him. He knows there is power in unity that’s why he works so hard to keep us fighting each other and focused on unimportant things.
