Unglued

Chosen by God!

Sometimes we come unglued because we think we don't matter, no one cares or appreciates who we are and what we do. While on some level we know God sees, cares, loves, and appreciates us, but on this level - flesh and blood level - emotions level, we want to be loved, acknowledged and celebrated. It hurts. The hurt is real and we must find a way to deal with it.

Believing God cares and loves us isn't always the first thing that comes to mind in the middle of a meltdown. However, getting to the realization of His love and care 24/7/365 is what will help us face those moments that have the potential to cause us to become "unglued."

Jesus had an "unglued" moment! Yes, He really did. When He saw the abuse of the money changers in the temple He became "unglued" and cleared it out. Ok, so His "unglued" moment makes sense and aligns with His purpose but there's a lesson there for us. Some "unglued" moments serve a greater purpose, whether it's to teach us something about ourselves or to draw us closer to God. When seen through the eyes of grace "unglued" moments can cause us to grow spiritually. (See Matthew 21:12-13)

Don't allow the enemy to condemn you. God doesn't. Hold on to Romans 8:1, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit,” and keep growing!

It's hard to think about what we believe in the heat of the moment but the more we try the easier it becomes. Ultimately, faith without works is dead. We can talk all we want but it's in the storms of life that what we believe comes out! That doesn't mean we won't come "unglued" at times. It means we won't stay "unglued!" Hallelujah!
