LET ME ENCOURAGE YOU:
I'm reminded that many times I've undervalued myself and my contributions because my gift, my presence was mishandled, undervalued, or not appreciated. Because God wastes nothing, I had to look deeper to see His hand, even in this. There's always something to learn.
Just because someone didn't say thank you or took what you did for granted or didn't understand the value and impact doesn't mean what you brought to the table wasn't needed or wasn't valuable. It was definitely used!
Just know we're not always going to be fully received where we're sent because God forces nothing on anyone. His gifts are freely given and freely received. You didn't miss God! They may have!
Sometimes people may not recognize the answer they prayed for when it shows up because it didn't look like they thought it would! That's between them and God! You did your part, you obeyed and showed up! Keep obeying and showing up regardless of the reception you receive. God honors obedience.
Also consider that maybe we stayed longer than we were supposed to. The assignment may have ended but we continued. We must recognize both the opened doors and the closed ones. Sometimes we walk in and sometimes we walk out!
SOME FINAL ENCOURAGING WORDS:
We work, and serve, as unto the Lord, not man! When we keep that perspective, it doesn't matter what people say or do. Your Abba Father is saying, "Well done, My good and faithful servant!" That's all we need or should want.
