Treasured by God!
"The poor, deluded fool feeds on ashes. He trusts something that can’t help him at all. Yet he cannot bring himself to ask, “Is this idol that I’m holding in my hand a lie?” (Isaiah 44:20 NLT)
What have you made an idol in your life? See where you spend most of your time and you might discover a few idols. Yes, even good things can become idols when they hold more importance than God.
One other test, when you get up in the morning what's the first thing you do? That's what has your attention!
Be careful, idols can creep in very subtlety and before you know it they have taken over your life. Ask the Lord to show you your idols. Get His perspective on what should be a priority in your life.
Whenever you make people or things more important than your relationship with God you've surrendered control and created an idol in your life. Idols will distract you, get you off your God given purpose, while lulling you into believing everything is just fine. Idols will ultimately destroy you.
There is nothing wrong with enjoying things or people as long as God isn't relegated to the back seat or not even invited to the table. Make sure your priorities align with God’s purpose for your life.
Be Encouraged! ❤
