BIRTHDAY MONTH CHRONICLES! (Day 21)

THE ESSENCE OF WHO I AM!

Yesterday I talked about seeing ourselves as God sees us. I’d like to revisit that a little bit more today.

This is how God made me according to Psalm 139 verses 13-14 in the Living Bible which says:

“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit them together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous—and how well I know it.” (Psalm 139:13-14 TLB)

Just like my insides were intricately woven together, so was my heart, the essence of who I am, and my personality, the expression of who I am, have also been knitted together to make me the wonderfully complex woman I am.

Complex - composed of many interconnected parts; compound; composite; characterized by a very complicated or involved arrangement of parts (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/complex?s=t)

I must learn how to see myself like God sees me and that only comes by defining myself by what the Word says about Me and not what the world says about me.

His Word says I am:

  • Created in His image (Genesis 1:27)

  • God’s masterpiece created with purpose to do great works for the Kingdom (Ephesians 2:10)

  • Wonderfully complex (Psalm 139:14)

  • Precious and honored in His sight (Isaiah 43:4)

  • Redeemed and forgiven (Ephesians 1:7)

  • A new creature in Christ (II Corinthians 5:17)

  • Holy and blameless before God (Ephesians 1:4 and I Corinthians 1:30)

  • Chosen by God (I Peter 2:9)

God has deposited some powerful things in each one of us. He has knit purpose into our DNA.

He has declared that we are:

  • His Masterpiece!

  • Wonderfully complex!

  • Marvelous, amazing, and uniquely created!

“For You shaped me, inside and out. You knitted me together in my mother’s womb long before I took my first breath. I will offer You my grateful heart, for I am Your unique creation, filled with wonder and awe. You have approached even the smallest details with excellence; Your works are wonderful; I carry this knowledge deep within my soul.” (Psalm 139:13-14 The Voice)

Stay tuned, because God isn't finished with me yet!

Be Encouraged! ❤
