“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9 ESV)
Establish – To set and fix firmly or unalterably; to settle permanently (Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary)
FAITH CONFESSION:
Thank You for establishing my steps Abba Father and for not leaving me to rely on my feelings, will, or intellect. You know what I don’t and see what I can’t. I trust You to direct my steps.
“Establish my steps and direct them by [means of] Your word; let not any iniquity have dominion over me.” (Psalm 119:133 AMPC)
“God gives vision, but we make the plans. There is no future without planning. (Dr. Myles Munroe)
“The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.” (Proverbs 16:1 ESV)
“God is saying, in effect, I gave you the vision. Now you put the plan on paper, and I will work out the details. God leaves the planning up to the heart of the person, but He will provide the explanation as to how the vision will be accomplished.” (Dr. Myles Munroe)
Responsibilities:
Vision - God
Plans - (YOUR NAME)
Explaining how the vision will be accomplished - God
FAITH CONFESSION:
Abba You give the vision and I make the plans to execute that vision. As I move in the direction of vision, please fine tune or even change my plans where needed. I have to give You something to work with. My plan is filled with broad strokes and I’m turning to You Abba to fine tune it filling in the details.
FOR PRAYERFUL CONSIDERATION:
“Have you expressed to God what is in your heart, and have you presented Him with your plan for accomplishing it? (Dr. Myles Munroe)
Take some time to think about and pray about the above question. Ask Holy Spirit any questions you may have.
Here’s a few questions to prayerfully consider:
Do you have a vision?
Is it clear?
Have you written it down?
Do you have a plan to execute your vision?
What steps have you taken?
Where do you need help?
Do you keep your vision before your eyes?
I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!” (Psalm 32:8-9 TPT)
