GOD, ME AND TEA TIME!

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father." (Matthew 5:13‭-‬16 NLT)

We cannot compromise God's truth. His Truth must be our compass and the indicator of how we act and interact wherever we go. His Truth is our guide keeping us on the right path while allowing our lives to bring Him glory.

We are not here to make people comfortable! Yet, our goal is not to make people uncomfortable either by bulldozing truth on them. Instead, we must speak the truth in love.

The goal is always to point people to Jesus! We can't do that if our approach is offensive. No one will want to listen. We can't be light if people aren't attracted to us or our light makes them prefer darkness.

We must look different than the world or we have nothing of value to offer the world. Jesus showed us clearly how to approach people - with love, compassion, grace, and a listening ear. Would the Samaritan woman at the well have become Jesus' witness if He had approached her with condemnation, and He had the right to condemn? (You can read her story in John 4.) A whole town believed because of that one encounter.

Tell God's Truth with love so your audience believes there is hope. We must meet people where they are and help them want a relationship with our Abba Father. Condemnation, judgment, ridicule, meanness will never cause anyone to want the Jesus we sat we represent. Always remember that we're responsible for planting or watering, but God is responsiblefor the increase!

"I planted, Apollos watered, but God [all the while] was making it grow and [He] gave the increase." (1 Corinthians 3:6 AMPC)

Good reminder that we are only vessels. God is actually doing the work if we let Him.
