GOD, ME, AND TEA TIME!

"Understand [this], my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear [a ready listener], slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry." (James 1:19 AMPC)

It's sad we've lost the art of communication. It seems we no longer listen to hear, to understand, or to learn. It seems we listen to attack, convince, or degrade.

Sadly, it seems that we no longer allow for differing viewpoints. It seems that each side wants all sides to hold the same point of view and have the same opinions. Any deviation from this causes conflict fracturing family's, friends, and relationships.

Where's the diversity in that? Where's the sharing of ideas? Where's the opportunity to learn and grow!

"For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)

God created us as unique individuals, not clones or carbon copies. He made each one of us so differently that no two people have the same fingerprints!

It seems that uniqueness is no longer a good thing, or a treasured thing. Different beliefs, views, or opinions can cause conflict, anger, dissension, bullying, and more!

Let's change this paradigm!

Listening to a different viewpoint doesn't mean, or require, agreement. It just means I respect, love, or like the person enough to listen to them and be okay if we don't agree. It says I won't attack, berate, or belittle a differing point of view. It also says, I'm mature and secure enough to realize everyone doesn't have to think, believe, or live like me!

As for me, I'm going to dance to the beat of my music, even if I have no rhythm. Additionally, I will always align myself with God, even if it costs me family, friends, connections, opportunities, or money. I have to keep an eternal perspective. This is not my home. I'm just passing through!

Be Encouraged! ❤
