"But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]." (John 16:13 AMPC)
When you're a child of God, Holy Spirit will lead and guide you to all truth. You are not without resources. You are equipped by God Almighty to see more than the surface, right to the heart of the matter. You also have discernment which gives you insight into what may be hidden. God will show you who people really are when you seek Him with a desire for godly connections and not popularity.
"Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6 AMPC)
Never, ever, second guess yourself. If it feels wrong walk away no matter what. Trust Holy Spirit in you to lead you to truth. He knows all truth.
You may think you're missing something but God has promised He will not withhold any good thing from you. He loves you.
Here's the promise right here:
"For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right." (Psalms 84:11 NLT)
You don't owe anyone anything that costs you your peace or being unsettled about doing it! Always value yourself, and your walk with the Lord, and be willing to walk alone if necessary, knowing you are never alone.
"For He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]" (Hebrews 13:5b AMPC)
Choose God's way and His direction and you will always be victorious:
I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!” (Psalms 32:8-9 TPT)
