In 2023 let’s let go of the old and embrace the new.
“Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.” (Isaiah 43:18-19 MSG)
God specializes in new beginnings. Sometimes He has to remove the familiar so He can do the spectacular!
Let’s allow God to create a new beginning in our lives in 2023:
"God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life." (Genesis 51:10 MSG)
Let’s decide, with the help of the Holy Spirit, that 2023 will be a year that we will:
“Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, profane talk. Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:31-32 MSG)
In 2023 let’s keep our eyes on the eternal and not the temporary:
“So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable.” (II Corinthians 4:18 AMPC)
Let this be our declaration and motivation in all we do:
"Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10 AMPC)
Yes, Lord, not my will. I desire Your will to be done in me and through me. For Your glory Lord. I will be a part of Your kingdom coming on earth as it is in heaven.
"Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for Us? Then said I, Here am I; send me." (Isaiah 6:8 AMPC)
Remember, we do this in His strength, and we are never alone:
"I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]" (Philippians 4:13 AMP)
"For He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]" (Hebrews 13:5b AMPC)
