Treasured by God! Self-care! You have to put on your own oxygen mask before you can assist anyone else. Jesus took time alone, with His Father, before He ever ministered to others. Too many wounded and empty people trying to serve from a place of their pain and emptiness. Too many people’s connection to the Master are frayed and about to snap. (Some have already snapped!) Take a timeout and strengthen your connection. Evaluate. Adjust. Readjust your focus to make sure you are still on course and still connected. Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat. (Mark 6:31 NLT) You have so much vying for your attention. You may need a quiet place and rest.
