"You shall not need to fight in this battle; take your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord [Who is] with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you." (2 Chronicles 20:17 AMPC)
The odds may look like they are against you but when you're on God's side the victory is already yours. Make sure you're not fighting a battle you've already won! Don't let the enemy convince you to fight when all you need to do is "take your position, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord!"
What is your position? Faith, trust, and praise. Looking at God and not the situation. Obedience.
Why stand still? Because there are some battles where God engages, and you don't. You just keep praising and worshipping Him throughout the battle.
There are David and Goliath moments where you run toward your giant and then there are Jehoshaphat moments where you stand still and praise and watch God change things.
"And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir who had come against Judah, and they were [self-] slaughtered." (2 Chronicles 20:22 AMPC)
Remember, God is with you!
