PRAYER'S PURPOSE!

Updated: Aug 11, 2022

“Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10 AMPC)

FAITH CONFESSION:

I desire my choices to be ones that further Your Kingdom Abba. Let me be Kingdom minded in my thoughts, words, and actions so I reflect Jesus wherever I am. Yes, even when I’m alone! What I think and say to myself matters! I must always remember that those thoughts become words and words become actions. So, I must be intentional about what I am thinking about.

“Prayer is not just an activity, a ritual, or an obligation. Nor is it begging God to do what we want Him to do. It is communion and communication with God that touches His heart.” (Dr. Myles Munroe.

FAITH CONFESSION:

I am so thankful You want communion and communication with me Abba Father. I am always so excited to spend quality time with You. I look forward to the gems You are going to uncover for me in Your Word. I know that my time with You is going to be life-giving and life-transforming. Teach me how to touch Your heart on a deeper, more intimate level because I desire more of You.

“True prayer is maintained though oneness of heart and purpose with God. Only then can we fulfill His ways and plans. When we pray, we represent God’s interests on earth, and representation requires relationship.” (Dr. Myles Munroe)

THOUGHTS:

  • Prayer requires – oneness of heart and purpose with God

  • Results – are fulfilling God’s ways and plans

  • Goal – pray and represent God’s interests

  • By remembering – representation requires relationship

  • Ultimately the more of God’s Word I know the more effective my prayers will be

  • Knowing God’s plan and vision for my life, allows me to pray more effectively

FAITH CONFESSION:

Lord, let me be mindful to pray Your will to be done and then actively work to do my part to accomplish Your will on earth.

“God’s will is the authority of your prayers. Prayer is calling forth what God has already purposed and predestined – continuing His work of creation and the establishment of His plans for earth.” (Dr. Myles Munroe)

HEARTFELT DECLARATION:

Lord, I pray that my prayers align with Your purpose and plans. I want to do my part to reflect Your will on earth as it is in heaven.
