PRESERVING DESTINY!

Updated: Mar 21, 2022

Just feeling reflective about transitions, the goodbyes and hellos, open doors and closed doors, and knowing when one season ends and another begins so I can be in sync with what God is doing. I want to be able to hear clearly so I can obey promptly.

FAITH CONFESSION:

Lord, fine tune my ear, my heart, to heaven's frequency so I don't miss anything You're saying or doing.

“After the wise men were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up! Flee to Egypt with the child and his mother,” the angel said. “Stay there until I tell you to return, because Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.” That night Joseph left for Egypt with the child and Mary, his mother, and they stayed there until Herod’s death. This fulfilled what the Lord had spoken through the prophet: “I called my Son out of Egypt.” (Matthew 2:13-15 NLT)

Jesus had to leave His birthplace to preserve His destiny, His purpose, and His safety. Sometimes the Lord will remove us from the familiar for safety reasons, to preserve our destiny and purpose. Then He will call us out to walk in our purpose.

FAITH CONFESSION:

O, Lord, thank You for reminding me that the changes You allow in my life aren’t to hurt me but to keep me safe, to secure my destiny and purpose, while maturing me for more excellent service. Thank You for moving me along when I wanted to stay still and keeping me still when it wasn't time for movement. I am so thankful that You see the end from the beginning and you are committed to getting me right where You need me to be.

In the meantime, I cling to this promise from God:

"I’ll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for." (Jeremiah 29:10b-11MSG)

He has a plan for me. He has a plan for you. We can trust His plan to come to fruition in our lives when we trust His instructions and follow His directions. Just think about, and hold on to this, no matter what you face, He, God has, "plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for."

I know God will do His part. It's up to me to do my part:

I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!” (Psalm 32:8-9 TPT)
