THE ENCOURAGEMENT CORNER with Pastor Leisa:

Today, I have to encourage myself. I just completed a big God-given assignment, and I'm feeling some kind of way. Since my words have power, I don't want to speak them, yet I feel the need to talk in order to process these feelings. This is what I wrote in my journal instead:

Lord, I'm feeling some kind of way, and I don't want to give these negative and unproductive thoughts power by speaking them. So, I'm taking time to journal and pray my way through them. This way, I can refocus my thoughts on what is true, excellent, and worthy of praise.

I'm renewing my mind and casting my cares on You while I trust You to work this out for my good. Lord, I don't know what to do, but my eyes are on You.

Proverbs 18:21

Philippians 4:6-8

Romans 12:2

Romans 8:28

2 Chronicles 20:12b

I'd like to say I feel great right now, but I don't. What I can say is that a little more time in the Secret Place, with the possibility of tears, I will eventually feel better. My Abba, Father's, got this, and He's got me. On this, I can depend.

I hope this encourages someone to press through.
