Jeremiah 18:3-6 Amplified:
"Then I went down to the potter's house, and behold, he was working at the wheel. And the vessel that he was making from clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he made it over, reworking it into another vessel as it seemed good to the potter to make it. Then the word of the Lord came to me: O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does? says the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel."
What I love about this Scripture is God does not throw us away. He continues to mold us, as we submit to Him, making us more like Him. We can make mistakes, but God promises He can work with them and through them until we come out just like He wants us too. In the Potters Hands we can be exactly what He planned and purposed for our lives.
Scriptural Prayer:
Abba Father, You are the Master Builder. Thank You for working on us, in us, and through us. We know that we are under construction, by You. We have not yet become but are becoming exactly what You have called us to be. In Your hands, we will walk in our Divine purpose. Thank You for not giving up on us as You continually shape and mold us into the sons and daughters You want us to be. We submit to the process and trust You to help us walk in Your promise for our lives.
CONSIDER THIS:
No matter what we've done, or what's been done to us, God gives us unlimited do overs. He doesn't wait for us to get it right, or become perfect, because we can't in this life. Instead, He continually works on us right where we are, using exactly what we've got. He can, and does, continually reshape us, and form us, more and more, into His image and likeness - which is how we were originally created.
Don't be so hard on yourself, or others. God is still working on us. Let's forgive ourselves, and others, extending the same love, mercy, grace, and compassion we get from Him to them and especially to ourselves.
FAITH CONFESSION:
I am the clay. You are the Potter. Mold me. Make me into who you intended for me to be. Help me to line up my thoughts and actions with Your thoughts, actions, plan, and purpose for my life. I am Yours!
No matter what is going on in our lives the Potter, our loving heavenly Daddy, can make a difference. All we have to do is be/stay connected to, and directed by the Living Vine, Jesus.
"I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing." (John 15:5 AMPC)
When we are connected to Him He promises to never leave us or forsake us.
"For He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]" (Hebrews 13:5b AMPC)
