I am focused. And at times I am also tired. We can be both as long as being tired doesn't get us off track of our purpose. Rest will restore and refresh us. It will give us perspective.
Being tired doesn't mean being unfocused. Our bodies and minds get tired. We need to rest.
Jesus, Himself made that clear in Mark 6:31:
Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat." (Mark 6:31 NLT)
Quiet time is strengthening and refreshing time. It's all right to be tired. We must listen to our body and spirit and adjust.
Jesus rested.
So, if you needed permission to let go of the busyness of life you've got it.
Rest!
Renew
Energize
Strengthen
Trust
Rest!
Relax in Him
Encourage yourself in Him
Seek His face
Think about Him
Our God says, “Calm down, and learn that I am God! All nations on earth will honor me.” (Psalm 46:10 CEV)
FAITH CONFESSION:
Thank You for calming me down Abba Father and reminding me in such a loving and caring way that You are in charge. Today, right at this moment, I am resting in Your peace.
This is what the Lord says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look. Ask which paths are the old, reliable paths. Ask which way leads to blessings. Live that way, and find a resting place for yourselves. But you said that you wouldn’t live that way.” (Jeremiah 6:16 GWT)
FAITH CONFESSION:
I am looking at Your Word for direction and to teach me. Your Word is the old and reliable path. Show me the way that leads to blessings. I will live that way. Thank You for Your resting place just for me, directly from You. I will live this way.
In the meantime, I will rest in expectation knowing that rest will help me refocus and stay focused on what God wants me to do. I will rest knowing it's not a waste of time but a time of renewal and refreshment.
