THE POWER OF YOUR THOUGHTS!

Breathe.

"You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock." (Isaiah 26:3‭-‬4 NLT)

FAITH CONFESSION:

Lord, You will keep in Your perfect peace my mind and emotions as I walk through this journey. As things are uncovered, I'm reminded that it's so You can cover them with Your peace and truth. Let me rest in that now and throughout my life.

What you set our mind on is the direction you have set your life in. This is why we cannot entertain random thoughts.

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” (Philippians 4:8 NASB)

I’m reminded that our thoughts have power. What you think about will impact the words you speak and the actions you take.

Make sure you think about whatever is:

  • True

  • Honorable

  • Right

  • Pure

  • Lovely

  • Commendable

  • Excellent

  • Praiseworthy

Lord, I will fix my thoughts on these things.

These are the characteristics that you want to power your thoughts, words, and actions. They are the thoughts that lead to peace and Kingdom productivity. You can’t afford to allow idle unproductive thoughts to take up residence in your head. You must be intentional about what you’re thinking about. The price you pay for idle, unproductive, and indiscriminate thoughts is too high!

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7a AMPC)

What you think about yourself is true. The question is are your thoughts aligned with what the Word of God says about you or what the world says about you?

Keep reminding yourself to intentionally think about what you’re thinking about by making this Scripture personal:

“Finally, (YOUR NAME), whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (YOUR NAME)” (Philippians 4:8 NASB)
