"You are a hiding place for me; You, Lord, preserve me from trouble, You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!" (Psalm 32:7 AMPC)
Sometimes, God shelters us in place where others can't see us as He prepares to launch us into deeper unknown territory. While we are unseen by others, we are clearly seen and nurtured by God. We just have to surrender to His process and timing.
THE PROCESS:
"I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you." (Psalm 32:8 AMPC)
God wants to instruct, teach, and counsel us on the journey. We were never meant to journey alone. God wants to keep His eye on us!
THE RESTING PLACE:
"You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word." (Psalm 119:114 (AMPC)
THE ANCHOR:
"May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope." (Romans 15:13 (AMPC)
Your anchor is faith and hope in Jesus. Guard both!
Let's look at all there is to unpack in Romans 15:13:
Hope
Joy
Peace
Believing
Abound
Power
Pastor Leisa's definition of hope:
Biblical hope is a confident expectation, an unwavering trust and belief for something good based on God’s Word and your obedience to His Word.
Your Abba, Father, the God of your hope, wants to fill you with joy and peace through your faith and belief in Him. You abound in this hope through the power of Holy Spirit. It doesn't depend on you alone. No matter what you are facing or will face you can abound in joy and peace through the experience of your faith.
If you need more joy and peace to face the challenges and the unexpectedness of life then increase your faith because faith is the foundation for joy and peace.
"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (romans 10:17 NKJV)
Faith is the title deed for your hope. You won't have hope without faith.
"Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]." (Hebrews 11:1 AMPC)
Keep your hope and faith alive and watch God move on your behalf!
Be Encouraged! ❤
