Pride not only goes before the fall, it also initiates the fall! So, check your motives. What you build for God must be based on bringing glory to His Name, not building, or bringing glory, to your name.
Remember, you can fool people, but God knows you and He can expose you, any time He chooses.
“But the Lord said to Samuel, Look not on his appearance or at the height of his stature, for I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” (I Samuel 16:7 AMPC)
Choose humility over pride all day, every day and God will lift you up. He will promote you. No one can stop God’s promotion in your life. Do it His way and get His results.
“Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you.” (I Peter 5:6 AMPC)
Whenever we do things God's way, we will always get God's results. There are no shortcuts to walking in His Word. Obedience always wins!
